Edgar’s Hideaway is a luxury vacation rental located in the highly desirable Upper Moonridge neighborhood and is professionally managed by Destination Big Bear. Our home comfortably accommodates up to 16 guests and is fully licensed and compliant with all City of Big Bear Lake short-term rental requirements.

Occupancy Limits
The maximum occupancy at Edgar’s Hideaway is 16 guests, including children.
Occupancy limits are established by the City of Big Bear Lake and are strictly enforced. The occupancy limit applies at all times and includes both overnight guests and daytime visitors.
Please ensure your group size complies with the occupancy limit before booking.
No Parties or Events
Edgar’s Hideaway is intended for family vacations, reunions, retreats, and responsible group travel.
Parties, weddings, large gatherings, events, and unauthorized celebrations are not permitted.
Violations may result in:
- Immediate termination of your stay
- Additional fines or penalties
- Loss of future rental privileges
Our goal is to provide a relaxing mountain retreat while respecting the surrounding neighborhood and community.
Quiet Hours
To preserve the peaceful mountain environment and respect neighboring homes, quiet hours are observed daily from:
10:00 PM to 9:00 AM
During quiet hours:
- Outdoor noise should be kept to a minimum
- Music should remain at reasonable levels
- Guests should be mindful of surrounding residents
- Outdoor gatherings should be respectful and low impact
Big Bear Lake actively enforces noise regulations for vacation rentals.
Parking Requirements
Parking is permitted only in designated on-site parking areas at Edgar’s Hideaway.
Street parking is strictly prohibited.
Vehicles parked on the street may be subject to citation or towing by local authorities.
Edgar’s Hideaway can accommodate up to six vehicles total, including:
- Three vehicles in the driveway
- Three vehicles in designated on-site parking spaces
Guests should not exceed the maximum parking capacity and should ensure that all vehicles remain fully on the property at all times.
Proper parking helps maintain compliance with City of Big Bear Lake vacation rental regulations and ensures a positive experience for both guests and neighboring residents.
Pet-Friendly Accommodations
Edgar’s Hideaway welcomes well-behaved pets.
Guests bringing pets are expected to:
